JOHN STROH

Associate Broker

With nearly five decades of experience in Colorado real estate, John C. Stroh II stands among the most respected voices in the state’s agricultural and ranch property market.

A Fort Morgan native, John attended Colorado State University and became a licensed real estate broker in 1976. His early years were spent working alongside his father on the family ranch—hands-on experience that shaped his lifelong understanding of land, livestock, and the people who steward them.

In 1986, John and his wife returned to real estate full-time, establishing a branch office for Peterson Agri-Management Company of Denver. There, John managed more than 40 ranch properties across Colorado, specializing in livestock operations that required complex infrastructure, fencing, and ongoing land improvements.

His expertise extended well beyond management—he provided clients with comprehensive appraisal, consulting, and brokerage services that built his reputation for precision and trust.

By 1991, John had earned his Certified General Appraiser license, performing more than a thousand appraisals during a sixteen-year span. From 1990 to 2016, he and his wife owned and operated Southern Colorado Land & Livestock Company, Inc., where they continued their full-time work in real estate brokerage, management, and consulting.

In 2016, after forty years of service to landowners across the state, John chose to close the firm’s doors and join longtime friend and associate Gene Cruikshank of Cruikshank Realty, Inc. Together, they combined decades of experience to serve their clients with unmatched knowledge and integrity.

John remains an active leader and mentor in Colorado’s agricultural real estate community. He is a proud member of the United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, and the American Highland Cattle Association.

Today, he continues to work alongside his daughter, Andrea “Andi” Baros, carrying forward a legacy of land stewardship, family values, and professional excellence that spans generations.
